In most of Japan, the rainy season lasts from the beginning of June to July, it is
moisture and sweat. Most people might think this sucks. My friend Yumiko and I visited Kamakura to stay away from that kind of feeling. Kamakura is situated in Kanagawa prefecture, less than an hour of Tokyo. It's near my town. Sometimes called the Kyoto of Eastern Japan, Kamakura has lots of temples, shrines and some beaches. It's a small city but a very popular tourist place.
At Meigetsu-in Temple, the blue season comes in June. Beautiful flowers in full bloom cover the whole hillside. But it's so crowded like hell this season. That's why this is not my most recommend spot.
Myohon-ji temple, I guess there are some friendly cats lurking here!!
Beautiful unknown flowers are everywhere. I need a flower identification APP.
Kakigori is a kind of a shaved ice dessert covered with sweet syrup. It's a sign of Summer.
Bye-Bye until autumn!
